After the long wait, the Fifty Shades of Grey movie was
finally in the works. Universal Pictures and Focus Features officially
announced the project. In addition, the task of writing the controversial
script is given to the British actress Kelly Marcel. She was previously the
pilot episode writer for the Terra Nova TV series. Other than that, Marcel also
wrote the script of Saving Mr. Banks, which is an upcoming Walt Disney biopic.
To state a fact, fans are hoping that the movie version will
not disappoint. Moreover, this will create a media storm for the probable mixed
reviews. For those who were yet to know, the movie project is based on the
erotic novel trilogy of Erika Leonard
who uses E.L. James as a pseudonym. Her novel trilogy has sold more than 30
million copies all over the world. In addition, the trilogy has beaten the
Harry Potter series as the fastest selling paperback. The rights of the novels
were already sold to 37 countries. This proves its success, which catapulted
Fifty Shades as a bestseller. The story revolves around two characters,
namely Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Either Ryan Gosling or Aaron
Johnson already nabbed the male title role according ongoing hearsays. Other
than that, some say that Angelina Jolie is set to direct the film. Those who
would like to watch the film should be informed that it is not a typical
romantic story. To provide an insight, the readers are introduced to the two
characters early on in the novel. The story would tackle bondage, discipline,
sadism and masochistic (BDSM) themes. Those who are curious about the plot
should read the story for some enlightenment. However, as a simple spoiler,
they would know early on that Anastacia is a young virgin while Christian is a
brooding yet charismatic billionaire who has a fetish for sexual adventure.
The contrasting dispositions of the two will surely ignite a
fiery difference that has titillated the imagination of the readers. This is
one of the main reasons on why the production of the said movie is making a
fuss amongst fans. Not to mention that it would be exciting if the fans were
provided with some clues regarding the actor who will play the role of
Christian Grey.
